About Ken

Kenneth Swain is a licensed attorney in the State of North Carolina and practices law with over 20 years of experience. He practices regularly in Union, Anson, Richmond, Stanly and Mecklenburg Counties in the State of North Carolina, but has also traveled throughout the state during his years of practice. He obtained his undergraduate degree in History from Wake Forest University, Law Degree from UNC –Chapel Hill and a Master’s Degree from Indiana University. Ken spent approximately 3 ½ years as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting criminal cases in the 20th Prosecutorial District which, at that time, included Anson, Richmond, Stanly, Union and Moore counties in the State of North Carolina.

Ken is a 2015 AV Preeminent Rated (the highest available) attorney in both legal ability and ethical standards by Martindale-Hubbell. This organization is a peer review organization that gives its rating based solely on the opinions of other lawyers and in no way relates to the payment of fees or certain membership status for attaining this award.

Ken has engaged in over 30 jury trials and in excess of 500 bench trials as both a prosecutor and a defense lawyer ranging from murder to DWI. This does not include the literally thousands of cases he has concluded during this time. The rate of success for his clients reaches a level that is difficult for most other lawyers to meet and his client satisfaction is extremely high. Ken sincerely hopes and strives to accomplish both success and satisfaction for each and every one of his clients.
